OUT OF SCHOOL TRAINING OPTIONS
We have had many requests for an after school training program for students studying ATAR or Specialist programs that can't gain release from secondary school. Because of this we are launching our new OOS Certificate II and Certificate III program
CUA20113 Certificate II in Dance- 1 Year
The Certificate II in Dance will be delivered through intensive school holiday workshops and training blocks throughout the year. The units of competency from Certificate II attained by students in years 10, 11 or 12 can contribute towards the achievement of a West Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). This offers a great opportunity for students to attain the qualification whilst completing their studies at school. The course commences mid-January to be completed mid-December. Commitment to all training blocks, performances and intensives is essential to cover the required nominal hours for the course.
Units include: Jazz, Classical, Contemporary, Conditioning, Performance Preparation, Expression, Industry and Career Knowledge
CUA30113 Certificate III in Dance- 2 year
Group Dance Audition
Must be entering Year 10, 11 or 12 in at course commencement (can also complete as a mature age student)
Students with an enthusiasm for dance who are participating in classes at a Vocational dance or performing arts secondary school.
***The audition process is completed in a comfortable relaxed , encouraging group environment.
The units are bundled to provide the student with an increasing depth in a variety of dance disciplines. Students will have the opportunity to train in current commercial trends and experience a wide field of performance and practical opportunities. The units of competency from Certificate III attained by students in years 10, 11 and/or 12 can contribute towards the achievement of a West Australian Certificate of Education (WACE). This offers a great opportunity for students to attain the qualification whilst completing their studies at school.
Units in Certificate III pay particular attention to a variety of dance genres including jazz, hip hop, commercial, tap, classical, lyrical, contemporary and choreographic aspects; this course is aimed at those students wanting to develop their skills and knowledge in preparation for full time training.
